Networking strengthens the goal of the organization by focusing on rights-based approach in society to mitigate the challenges faced by individuals and groups engaged in development. Efforts were made to build Partnerships and networking with governmental and non-governmental decision makers. AFARM ensures that such decisions taken at different forum, meetings and workshops are pursued further with the policy makers and strive hard that these decisions are included in policy.
AFARM has strong linkages with Non-Government Organizations operating at grass root level to national and international level having stakes in Agriculture, Natural Resources Management and Community Development in rural areas.
Being membership based Organization; AFARM has a wide network spread all over the Maharashtra state. AFARM is one of the first organizations to operate as an Association of NGOs, in the country. Presently 97 organizations are the Institutional Members (Network Partner)
The substantial numbers of AFARM member organizations are actively engaged in the field of rural livelihood initiatives including Community based Natural Resource Management, Sustainable Agriculture, Women empowerment, Skills development, Health, Education, Human rights, drinking water & sanitation, etc.
Many of them have previously utilized the expertise services of AFARM for their programs & some of them have partnered with AFARM previously in various Network based projects. Wherever find suitable, the services of such AFARM member organizations are also being utilized by AFARM for the attainment of organizational objectives.
As per AFARM Member guidelines, any registered Voluntary Organization can become AFARM Member after completing formalities and approval by Executive Committee of AFARM. These organisations are General Body Members having a right of voting for selection of Executive Committee& set policies for AFARM. They can avail services of AFARM and partner with AFARM for thematic project implementation. The current Annual membership subscription is Rs.1000/- (Membership Form).
